The original Favourite trees project was funded by Epping Forest DC, The Tree Council, The Guardian newspaper, Essex Biodiversity and The Local Heritage Initiative.
A new district to join our web site is Harlow in Essex. Besides being a new town of the 1950's Harlow has many veteran trees and areas of natural beauty.
There are 261 veteran trees recorded in the Harlow region added to the database since Harlow joined the Favourite Trees website last year and the number is steadily growing.
