Reason for nomination:
This tree stands in Lower Brick Clamp on the Roding Valley Meadows Local Nature Reserve. The reserve is owned by EFDC and the Grange Farm Trust and is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust. Open access year round.
Remarks & Tree condition:
Some deadwood in canopy, evidence of some crown reduction work, holes and cavities, flaking and peeling bark, very aesthetic position by busy main road junction. (N.B. just outside of reserve boundary).
