Reason for nomination:

• This tree stands on the eastern edge of Four Acre Field on the Roding Valley Meadows Local Nature Reserve. The reserve is owned by EFDC and the Grange Farm Trust and is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust. Open access year round.

• Deadwood in canopy and at base, holes and cavities, strong ivy growth.
