Reason for nomination:
This tree stands in the grounds of The Warren House, Loughton. It was planted in 1816 as a part of a Humphry Repton designed landscape. The Warren House was purchased by the City of London in 1876, and became the home of the Superintendents of the Forest. Each of the Superintendents have left their own mark by increasing the tree stock with some interesting specimens.
