Reason for nomination:

• This magnificent ancient pollard stands on an old hedgeline with a number of other veteran trees. These are all very clearly shown on the first edition OS map from the 1880s. The tree is partially hidden by new tree planting, but can be seen from Elizabeth Close Recreation Ground..
