Reason for nomination:

• This old pollard stands in a hedgerow bordering the southern side of Loughton Lane to the south of Theydon Bois. It is on eof a pair of trees at this point.

Remarks & Tree condition:

• This tree appears to have had some management in the last 25 years. It is heavily decayed with half the trunk on one side exposed. The whole tree has a lean and is at risk of structural failure if the limb weight is not kept off.
